Roadmap

Playrunner is early. The current roadmap is focused on making Playwright test orchestration more reliable, visible, and easier to extend.

Current focus areas​

  • Workflow execution: clearer run state, better retries, and stronger runner feedback.
  • Debugging and reporting: useful logs, traces, outputs, and result summaries.
  • Integrations: GitHub, Jira, Slack, CI/CD systems, and developer workflow hooks.
  • Automated Testing: patterns that help teams understand and reduce unreliable tests.
  • Contributor experience: local setup, architecture notes, examples, and issue quality.
  • AI-assisted workflows: practical ways to summarise failures and suggest next steps.

This page is a starting point for contributors. The detailed roadmap should stay close to the GitHub issues and discussions as the project changes.
